Abstract:
The goals of the "Triple Aim" of healthcare reform are to 1)  Improve the patient experience of care (including quality and satisfaction), 2)  Improve the health of populations and, 3)  Reduce the per capita cost of health care.  Using the "Triple Aim" as a conceptual framework, MSN students enrolled in a health policy course demonstrated mastery of essential “need to know” points on selected areas of healthcare reform. Working in small groups, they created usable, ready to go information sources as part of a Healthcare Reform Toolkit.  The products in the toolkit describe the essential changes coming with various aspects of health care reform and were designed for healthcare professionals or for consumers.
