Abstract:
Health professions students participated in an interprofessional (IP) team education exercise which was developed for evaluation and feedback of their team performance.  The participants were taken from 193 medical, acute care nurse practitioners and pharmacy students who were divied into 8 interprofessional (IP) and 16 Like Professional (LP) teams.  The IP teams consisted of 3-4 medical students, 2-3 NP studnets, 1-2 pharmacy students of which 8 teams were recorded.  The LP teams consisted of 7-8 medical students of which 9 teams were recorded.  Using lecutre on interprofessionalism and IP team skills, teams were given a Transition of Care simulation case.  Upon completion of the case the students were asked to evaluate their own and group member skills.  Those designated groups which were videotaped were also evaluated by faculty members conducting the experience.  Data was then gathered and analysed.
