The purpose of this presentation will be to discuss  the development of a NP-led Inter professional collaborative practice health care center that integrates mental health services into primary care.  A major focus of the center is to increase the number of nurses skilled in interprofessional collaborative practice and to strengthen nursing’s capacity to improve the health outcomes of patients, families and communities by supporting the development and implementation of an innovative interprofessional practice model.  This NP-led model which uses collaborative teams comprised of highly functioning diverse health professionals, including NPs, nurses, physicians, dietitians, community mental health counselors and social workers.

The opportunities and challenges provided in the development and funding of the center will be addressed.  Four presentations including developing IPCP modules through clinical practice, the incorporation of evidenced based practice, COPE, and TEAMcare will be include.
