Abstract:
Abstract: As nursing progresses toward the goal of educating all advanced practice nurses in a Doctor of Nursing Practice framework, DNP scholarly projects are evolving. The authors describe an evidence based model for the process of developing, implementing, evaluating and disseminating the DNP scholarly project. The model utilizes information and best practices from different fields of study and integrates this information along with the DNP Essentials into a cohesive, comprehensive, evidence based process model for conducting the DNP scholarly project. The graphic model will assist DNP students, faculty and graduates to comprehend the entire process. It can be utilized by any advanced practice nurse who is implementing an evidence based change in his or her clinical practice. It may also lend efficiency to the project process through a better understanding of the entire process. The model demonstrates the scholarship and academic rigor of the project.
